How chemical dosing works

1

Chemicals (e.g., disinfectants, pH adjusters, or nutrients) are stored in dedicated containers or tanks. These chemicals are prepared and diluted to the required concentration for dosing.
2

The system uses a metering pump to draw the chemical from the storage tank. This pump is designed to deliver precise and adjustable amounts of the chemical into the water or process stream. The dosing rate is controlled to match the specific requirements of the application.
3

The metered chemical is then injected into the water or process stream at a designated injection point. This point is usually selected to ensure thorough mixing and effective distribution of the chemical within the system.
4

The system is often equipped with sensors and controllers that monitor parameters such as flow rate, pH, or chemical concentration. Based on these measurements, the dosing rate is automatically adjusted to maintain optimal conditions, ensuring consistent and accurate dosing.
